An Archetype That Won't Disappear
Across millennia and continents, independent cultures described the same cosmos: a closed sphere with a luminous centre. The Cosmic Egg.
The Witnesses
- Vedic cosmology: The Brahmanda — the golden egg from which the cosmos hatched
- Plato (Timaeus): The cosmos as a living, spherical being
- Hildegard von Bingen: The "Fiery Egg" — a luminous cosmos in a shell
- Norse Edda: Yggdrasil encloses a concentric world
- Quran (79:30): "The Earth He made egg-shaped"
- Kabbalah: The Tree of Life as concentric spheres
Why Did the Knowledge Vanish?
Copernicus (1543) replaced the concentric cosmos with an infinite universe centred on the Sun. Within a few centuries, humanity's oldest cosmological model was forgotten.
Not Outdated — Ahead
What if these cultures were not primitive but knew something we have forgotten?
The Cosmic Egg is not a myth. It is a memory.
